Kad Merad is a French actor and film director whose birth name is Kaddour Merad. He was born in Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria on 27th March 1964.

His best films as an actor include Pierre Jolivet's comedy Je crois que je l'aime (2007), Carine Tardieu's La Tête de maman (2007), Dany Boon's Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis (2008), Daniel Auteuil's La Fille du puisatier (2011) and Xavier Giannoli's Superstar (2012), and whose best work as a film director include Monsieur Papa (2011) and Mais qui a re-tué Pamela Rose? (2012).
