Film Synopsis
At long last the end of the school year has arrived, and with it the
long-awaited departure for the summer holidays. Little Nicolas,
his parents and Grandma take to the highway and head for the sea -
their destination: Hôtel Beau-Rivage. No sooner has Nicolas
set foot on the beach than he acquires a new entourage of friends:
Blaise, who lives in the area and so isn't really on holiday;
Fructueux, who loves everything, even fish; Djodjo, who does not talk
like the others because (tragically) he is English; Crépin, who
cries incessantly; and Côme, one of those pains in the neck who
always thinks he is right. Nicolas also meets Isabelle, a little
girl whose eyes appear to be constantly fixed on him as though he were
some rare and exotic species. Nicholas soon succumbs to the
notion that his parents intend to force him to marry this worrying
little creature. For everyone concerned, this is going to be a
holiday to remember...
