aka: We Did It on a Song

Film Synopsis

This is the tumultuous story of a group of friends living in Boulogne-sur-Mer, a French coastal town that has been badly hit by the economic downturn in recent years.  Gaëlle, Rachelle, Alex, Nicholas and Caroline make up an inseparable gang of teenagers who are about to take their end-of-school exams and thereby gain passage to the adult world.  Their dreams and disappointments are expressed through song in this innovative documentary which manages to be both serious and light-hearted, recording a year in the lives of a group of adolescents whose hopes for the future are tinged with fear and uncertainty...
