Film Synopsis
Jean-Luc and his friend Mathieu lead a carefree existence in Montmartre.
One is a cabinet maker, the other a sculptor, but only nominally - their real
objective seems to be to get through life by doing as little work as possible.
Both men are in their thirties and yet they still behave like irresponsible
adolescents - carousing, chasing pretty girls and generally having a good
time. Then comes the day when they decide they would like to get married.
Jean-Luc has met a girl, Céline, who surpasses all others and would
make the ideal wife. He has had many girls in his life, but this one
he intends to keep for himself.
As for Mathieu, he has been living with his girlfriend Anna for what seems
like ages. A school music teacher, Anna is his ideal soul mate, but
whenever he plucks up the courage to ask her to marry him, his nerve always
deserts him at the last moment. Now he has decided he must wed Anna,
or risk losing her to another man. It so happens that Mathieu's father
Lucien has also found himself his perfect playmate, Betty, so it looks as
if a triple wedding is in the offing. Jean-Luc, Mathieu and Lucien are
in for a shock when, on the day of their wedding, their respective brides
decide that they are not yet ready for marriage...
