Film Synopsis
Once a popular and highly fashionable cineaste, an ageing filmmaker must
now content himself with making films to order, usually for the most dubious
of clients. Known as the Idiot or the Prince, this once committed auteur
is now in a position where he can't afford to turn down any offer of work,
so he gladly accepts the seemingly impossible task of making a film within
a day. His work done, he then climbs aboard a plane in the hope that
he can find someone to buy and exhibit his latest celluloid atrocity.
As he does so, a group of musicians, the Rita Mitsouko, are struggling frantically
to complete their next album. Fortune smiles on the Idiot. An
admiral and his wife are willing to take his reels of film off him, with
the intention of screening them on the banks of the River Seine...
