Severn, la voix de nos enfants (2010)
Directed by Jean-Paul Jaud

Documentary / Biography

Film Synopsis

In 1992, the Earth Summit is taking place in Rio de Janeiro.  12-year-old Severn Cullis-Suzuki makes the most of the opportunity to question the world's leaders on the humanitarian and ecological challenges that face mankind.  The answers she receives are considered and compassionate, but is there any likelihood of real action behind these well-meaning words?  Seventeen years later, Severn is 29 and about to give birth to her first child.  The problems facing humanity still prey upon her mind and she wonders if enough, indeed any real progress has been made in the last few decades towards building a sustainable future for all the peoples of the world.  With time fast running out, how will our children judge us when it turns out that we have failed to safeguard their future...?
