Film Synopsis

Aged 40, the Parisian bon viveur Bobby has an attack of gout and is forced to give up his life of revelry.  His family comes from the provinces to care for him.  Neglected by her husband, Bobby's niece Geneviève cannot help falling in love with her uncle and the two embark on a love affair.  Bobbly finally gives up his lover so that she can be reconciled with her husband.
