Film Synopsis
A decade after we last had the pleasure of his company, Simon Eskenazy has
become a famous clarinet player, specialising in traditional Jewish music.
He is about to record a new album when his mother Bella forces him to put
her up for a few days, whilst she recovers from a broken hip. Simon
doesn't exactly welcome this intrusion and his love life takes an unexpected
turn when he finds himself irresistibly drawn to the young transvestite Algerian,
Naïm, who is nursing his mother back to health. The problem is
that Simon is already in a relationship with another man - a philosophy teacher
named Raphaël - so this latest romantic infatuation is ill-timed, to
say the least. The situation is not helped by the sudden unwished-for
re-appearance of Simon's ex-wife Rosalie, who has just returned from New
York with their ten-year-old son...
