Antoine de Caunes is a French actor, screenwriter and film director. He was born in Paris, France on 1st December 1953.

His best films as an actor include Claude Chabrol's crime-thriller Au coeur du mensonge (1999), Alexandre Arcady's Là-bas... mon pays (2000), Jean-Jacques Zilbermann's comedy La Folle histoire d'amour de Simon Eskenazy (2009) and Pascal Hérold's Cendrillon au Far West (2012), and whose best work as a film director include Scénarios sur la drogue (2000), Les Morsures de l'aube (2001) and Monsieur N. (2003).
