Summary
In 1777, a devotee of the radical ideas of Voltaire and Rousseau, the
Marquis de La Fayette abandons his position in the royal army and joins
the American insurgents in the fight against the British troops in what
is soon to become the United States of America. As La Fayette
fights alongside George Washington in the New World, Benjamin Franklin
travels to France to win the support of King Louis XVI...
