Film Synopsis
During the Second World War, safecracker Eddie Chapman is languishing in prison in Jersey when the Nazis invade and take control of the island. In exchange for being freed, Chapman offers the Germans his services as a secret agent, spying on the British for his own financial gain. The Nazis have good reason to be suspicious of Chapman's motives, for once he has made contact with British intelligence, Chapman offers to work for them. The crook must use every ounce of cunning he has to prevent his deception from being discovered. Unfortunately, he has one weakness which may bring about his downfall: a liking for the fair sex...© James Travers
