Drama

Film Synopsis

A long-distance lorry driver, Nicolas's pride and joy are his two little girls, Suzanne and Maria.  Since his wife died, he has had to bring up his daughters alone, but he regards this as a pleasure, not a burden.  Now 17, Suzanne is pregnant and will soon give birth to a child of her own.  As her son Chary begins to grow up, Suzanne is grateful for the support she receives from her father and sister.  Then she meets Julien, a gangster with whom she cannot help falling in love.  So strong are her feelings for this good-for-nothing crook that she abandons her family and follows him to Marseille to share his criminal existence.  She is soon behind bars, and on her release from prison she is surprised to find that Charly has been placed with a foster family.  As much as she may want to pick up the pieces and resume her old life with Nicholas and Maria, Suzanne cannot resist when Julien suddenly re-enters her life.  Fleeing her home again, she accompanies her unscrupulous boyfriend to Morocco, and is soon pregnant for a second time.  Suzanne's woes are far from over...
