Directed by Georges Lampin

Thriller / Drama
aka: Follow That Man

Film Synopsis

On his 50th birthday, Divisional Superintendent Basquier recalls the affaire that earned him his promotion to his present position seventeen years ago, when he was still only a district police chief.  The pawnbroker Madame Olga had been poisoned and there were several suspects, including her estranged husband Mallet and her maid Arlette, whom she held in her power through some compromising photographs. But Basquier showed the culprit was in fact Dr Corbier, who murdered her to avenge the death of his wife, who was driven to suicide by Madame Olga.
