Sans moi (2007)
Directed by Olivier Panchot

Drama

Film Synopsis

After her divorce, 30-something Anna is having a hard time trying to bring up her two young children by herself.  In the end, she decides that the best thing to do is to hire a babysitter, and the young woman she chooses, Lise, seems to be eminently suited for the job.  Lise's sense of fun and lively personality help to brighten not only Anna's household but her whole life, and she quickly realises that she has gained a valuable friend as well as a dependable child minder.  But Lise's apparent insouciance belies her incredibly troubled past.

Apparently, Lise is a young woman who has been badly treated by life, and this has left her with unhealed sores and some very worrying tendencies.  On discovering the truth about Lise, Anna hasn't the heart to send her away.  Instead, she sympathises with her and takes it upon herself to help her new friend put her unpleasant past behind her.  Little does she realise that by doing so Anna is merely reopening old wounds and thereby putting herself and her children in great danger.  There are some injuries that will never heal, and some that are bound to bleed pure poison...
