Film Synopsis

Johann, a painter, arrives in Portugal and enjoys a peaceful stay at a luxurious villa on the coast.  The house belongs to Pierre, a cultural attaché at the French embassy.  Johann agrees to paint a portrait of his host's wife, Marine, who has never forgiven her husband for not becoming a painter.  Meanwhile, Pierre's daughter comes to regard Johann as the father she would have loved to have had...
