Film Synopsis
On a housing estate in the suburbs to the north of Paris, Mezz, Aziz, Laurent, Nordine, Poisson and several other young people have a culture all of their own, founded on rap and back-slang. Djamel is keen to leave the area, but is prevented from doing so by his drug-addicted brother. Djamel falls in love with Sahlia, but when he finds she has been unfaithful to him, he decides to end their relationship. One evening, whilst under influence of narcotics, Djamel is killed by the police. At first opposed to violence, Djamel finally falls into the same trap as everyone around him...© James Travers
