Nine-year-old Aria puts on a brave face as she copes with the violent separation of her parents,  Caught in the midst of their interminable arguments, sidelined by her half-sisters, she feels unloved and unwanted.  Tossed from pillar to post, she wanders around the town with a backpack and her little black cat.  As she teeters on the edge of despair, she tries to hold onto her innocence...
