Ma femme... homme d'affaires (1932)
Directed by Max de Vaucorbeil

Comedy / Musical
aka: My Wife as a Businessman

Film Synopsis

Arlette is a ruthlessly ambitious woman who is prepared to do anything so that her husband Pierre, a timid, weak-willed mediocrity, will succeed in business.  Realising that Pierre has no particular aptitude for anything, Arlette has no choice but to get him to bluff his way to the top.  She rents a luxury aparment and, by exercising her guile, she arranges for her husband to be appointed the managing director of a perfume factory.  There is nothing that a determined woman cannot achieve if she sets her mind to it...
