Les Reines du ring (2013)
Directed by Jean-Marc Rudnicki

Comedy

Film Synopsis

As a result of serving a protracted stretch in prison, Rose, a 30-year-old living in the north of France, finds she has become estranged from her son Michaël.  She works long hours in a supermarket but is eager to reconnect with her son, a sulky 11-year-old who prefers the company of his adolescent friends to that of his mother.  Realising that her son has a keen interest in wrestling, Rose decides to create her own wrestling team with her friends and work colleagues.  It is a desperate gamble, but will Michaël respond kindly to his mother's attempts to connect with him or will it merely widen the already existing gulf between them...?
