Film Synopsis
Dressed as Saints Anthony and Nicolas, two carefree individals, Boule
and Pons, set about distributing presents to the children of their
Provençal village on the feast of St Nicolas. After being
knocked down by a cart, they find themselves in Hell, where they are
taunted by Lucifer and his minions. A timely prayer removes Boule
and Pons from this inferno of sin and torment and they find themselves
at the gates of Paradise, where they are placed on trial by the holy
saints. Through the intervention of the Virgin Mary, Boule and
Pons are pardoned and allowed to return to Earth. The two men
waste no time repaying the saints for their mercy...
