Film Synopsis

A child who is found abandoned in a cathedral is adopted by a couple.  She grows up and falls in love with the son of a wealthy châtelain.  When the latter refuses to marry her and instead opts to become an archbishop, she falls ill.  Treated by the bishop, she finally gets her way and the marriage takes place, but the bride dies in the same place where she was found...
