Film Synopsis
A year after the death of his father, Zeno gets to know Giovanni
Malfenti, a father of four daughters who becomes a friend, mentor and
work colleague. Within no time, Zeno has fallen in love with
Giovanni's eldest daughter Ada, an aspiring stage actress. For no
apparent reason, Ada suddenly ends her love affair with Zeno, and he
ends up being seduced by Alberta, the second eldest daughter. The
sibling rivalry comes to a head when Alberta tries to kill herself and
Zeno is driven away from the family. A year later, Giovanni
visits him and invites him to the birthday party of Augusta, his third
daughter...
