Film Synopsis
Even though thirty percent of those who served in the French Resistance during
WWII were women, just over half a per cent of these made up the 1038 people
who were honoured with the Ordre National des Compagnons de la Libération.
Laurette Monet was one of these brave resistance women. A theology
student living in the south, she was barely 19 when she began serving in
the Resistance in the summer of 1942. Her role was to come to the aid
of people who had been interned by the Vichy regime - Jews of all nationalities,
anti-fascists, resistance members and other undesirables. Laurette's
humanitarian and religious convictions made it impossible for her to turn
a blind eye to the atrocities that were taking place in her country...
