La Neuvaine de Colette (1925)
Directed by Georges Champavert

Film Synopsis

Colette is a young orphan who thinks of nothing but escaping from her cantankerous old aunt.  A marriage would be one solution.  To get things moving, Colette organises a novena of prayers before the statue of Saint Expedit.  Disappointed with the results, she causes the statue to fall through the window and injure a young man.
