Film Synopsis

With her husband away in Hollywood, Carole, a famous actress, finds herself alone and abandoned in her luxury apartment, with nothing to do but mope about regretting her life choices.  When a photographer, François, shows up to take some pictures of her for a newspaper article, she gladly welcomes him into her home - and her life.  It isn't long after their first meeting that they become the most passionate of lovers.  They spend a fortnight living together in a hotel as François compiles his report, and this gives the journalist enough time to realise that his lover is emotionally unstable and therefore not right for him.

The affair doesn't last long and a few weeks later François walks out of Carole's life for good, without giving any reason for his sudden departure.  This latest desertion is more than the vulnerable actress can bear, and she ends up in hospital, being treated for chronic depression.  When François comes to visit her it is with the happy news that he has started an affair with another woman.  This revelation does nothing for Carole's sanity, and as François embarks on a new life the ghost of his former lover continues to haunt him...
