Film Synopsis

Eléonore is an attractive young girl, about twenty years in age, who has lost both her parents and an arm in a terrible accident.  At present, she lives in an orphanage in Burgundy.  Judge London, a local magistrate, takes an interest in her and invites her to stay at his château, with the intention of adopting her as his own daughter.  Unbeknown to her mysterious protector, Eléonore is in love with Robinson, who works as an illusionist at nightclub belonging to the shady entrepreneur Renaud Duraquet.  When a series of odious crimes are perpetrated on several young woman, suspicion falls on Robinson, on account of his far from unblemished past.  Meanwhile, Judge London's interest in Eléonore takes on a darker hue when it is revealed that he has taken to watching her without her knowing through a one-way mirror...
