Film Synopsis

At the request of his father, Mickael Abitbol makes a reluctant return to his home country of Morocco after an absence of thirty years.  Abitbol has no great love of the country and would not have come back had his father, a prominent and highly respected musician, not been so insistent.  The old man dies not long after his son's return, leaving Mickael to take care of the funeral arrangements.  After the funeral, Mickael meets Ali, a taxi driver who had a profound admiration for his father, one bordering on idolatry.  Over the next few days, Mickael gradually uncovers his father's secret past and makes contact with the other members of the orchestra to which he belonged.  He is shocked by what he discovers.  How could he have known so little about his father...?
