Film Synopsis

After being caught in an avalanche in the Alps, a young woman is treated for her injuries in an alpine fortress.  Here she attracts the attention of a lieutenant in the Chasseurs Alpins, the elite mountain infantry of the French Army.  Little does the latter know, as he succumbs to an all-consuming passion, that the object of his affection is a ruthless and experienced spy.  When the woman flees with a vital document, the officer's dreams and career are both in ruins.  An adjutant sets out to find the woman and recover the stolen document, knowing that if he fails his superior is almost certain to be executed as a traitor...
