Film Synopsis

In 1995, the war is Bosnia is finally at an end.  But violent confrontation between the ethnic groups continues.  Pursued by armed militiamen, 9-year-old Irina flees for her life with her father.  When her father is gunned down by a sniper Irina is left to continue her fight for survival alone.  She takes refuge in an isolated farm belonging to a Bosnian family.  It is here that she strikes up a friendship with a boy named Malik.  However, it isn't long before old enmities come to the fore and threaten the nascent friendship between the two children...
