Drama / War

Film Synopsis

One evening in the late 1970s, an aeroplane comes into land at a rural airport.  Only one passenger disembarks from the plane.  He is Joe Falsch, the last survivor of an unfortunate Jewish family.  It has been forty years since he left Berlin and now, in the airport concourse, Joe is finally reunited with members of his family whom he hasn't seen for years.  Conflicting emotions arise within him when he is greeted by his parents, his brother, his sister, his sister-in-law and aunt, all victims of the Nazi concentration camps.  His uncle is also here, along with his wife - they died in Berlin after living in Palestine for a while.  Finally, there is Lili, the pretty German girl whom Joe was inordinately fond of (even though her father was a Nazi) - she was killed in the Allied bombing of Germany.  A night of celebration and reflection lies ahead for these thirteen people who have borne so much pain and loss.  But exactly who is to blame for what they have suffered...?
