Film Synopsis

In a small town in Canada, David, 40, and his wife Maya appear to lead a peaceful life with their two children.  He works all hours as an odd job man for a retirement home, while she languishes in boredom at home, distracting herself with video games and the television.  David has a francophone friend in one of his colleagues, with whom he spends most of his time.  Meanwhile Maya, who speaks only English, feels cut off and is constantly preoccupied with her family back home in Russia.  Gradually, the couple's relationship starts to deteriorate and things come to a head when David suspects Maya is having an affair behind his back...
