Film Synopsis
On his trajectory from anonymous circus clown to theatrical crowdpuller,
Chocolat was destined to become the first black star of the French stage.
Forming a double act with Footit, he enjoyed phenomenal success at the time
of the Belle Époque, but all too soon easy money and a weakness for
gambling would drive the two performers apart and bring about the end of
Chocolat's glorious career...
