Elisabeth is a committed Catholic. A loving mother and devoted
wife, she puts her faith to the service of others via her Christian
radio phone-in show which provides solace for those in distress.
At the request of her diocese, she takes in Father Achille, who soon
becomes a member of her family. What Elisabeth believes to be an
idyllic life is soon transformed into a nightmare. Not long after
her husband is killed in a hunting accident she discovers that her 14
year-old son has been abused by her houseguest. Suddenly
confronted with the harsh realities of life and disgusted by the
refusal of the church to take action against Father Achille, Elisabeth
turns her back on Christian charity. Adopting the law of the Old
Testament - an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth - she embarks on
an insane course of revenge...
