Film Synopsis

When he learns that his estranged son Jack has been arrested after an assassination attempt, John McClane travels to Moscow to lend him some fatherly support. To secure a lighter sentence, Jack agrees to testify against Yuri Komarov, a billionaire turned government whistleblower. In doing so he becomes a pawn in a game of political intrigue orchestrated by Viktor Chagarin, a corrupt Russian official. During the trial, Jack manages to escape from the courthouse with Komarov before running into his father. John is surprised when his son reveals that he has been working as an undercover officer in the CIA for the past three years...
