Lilli Palmer was a German actress and screenwriter whose birth name was Lilli Marie Peiser. She was born in Posen, Prussia, Germany on 24th May 1914 and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on 27th January 1986, aged 71.

Her best films as an actor include Fritz Lang's thriller Cloak and Dagger (1946), Robert Rossen's Body and Soul (1947), Jacques Becker's Montparnasse 19 (1958), Franz Josef Wild's comedy Frau Cheneys Ende (1961) and George Seaton's The Counterfeit Traitor (1962).
