Eddie Constantine was a French-American actor and singer whose birth name was Edward Constantinowsky. He was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on 29th October 1917 and died in Wiesbaden, Germany on 25th February 1993, aged 75.

His best films as an actor include Michel Deville's comedy-thriller Lucky Jo (1964), Jean-Luc Godard's crime-thriller Alphaville (1965), Raoul Lévy's Je vous salue, mafia! (1965), Juraj Jakubisko's comedy Pehavý Max a strasidlá (1987) and Claudia Schröder's Europa, abends (1989).
