Biography: life and films

Anatole Litvak was an Ukranian film director, screenwriter and producer. He was born in Kiev, Ukraine on 21st May 1902 and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France on 15th December 1974, aged 72.

His best films as a film director include Das Lied einer Nacht (1932), Mayerling (1936), Confessions of a Nazi Spy (1939), Un acte d'amour (1953) and Goodbye Again (1961), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Cette vieille canaille (1933), L'Équipage (1935) and The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun (1970).
