Film Synopsis

In the Atlas mountains, the young Zaïna buries her mother, who was killed by her possessive lover Omar.  The girl's father, Mustapha, is reluctant to take charge of her, since he fears Omar, his worst enemy.   The Imam persuades him to take Zaïna back and take her to a place of safety.  As they make their way across the mountains, Zaïna re-establishes her bond with her father and discovers the truth about her mother.
