Film Synopsis

Berlin, 1921.  Talaat Pacha, the man who is mostly to blame for the Armenian genocide, is executed in the street by Soghomon Thelirian, whose family had been entirely killed on Pacha's orders.   During the trial, Thelirian's testimony of the first genocide of the 20th century makes such an impression than he is acquitted by the jury.  Sixty years on, Aram, a young man of Armenian origin now living in Marseille blows up the car of the Turkish ambassador.  As he flees to Beiruit, to join the Armenian Liberation Army, he is unaware that his act has wrecked the life of an innocent bystander, Gilles Tessier, who lost both of his legs in the explosion.  One day, Aram's mother Anouch visits Gilles in hospital to apologise for her son's crime...
