Film Synopsis

A small town, somewhere in Europe, is blighted by a wave of mysterious killings.  The latest victim is the town's mayor and another politician, Lucas, is determined to get to the bottom of the matter.  When Costa, a former drugs baron, returns to the area after being released from prison, he attracts the attention of several people wearing round hats.  A short time later, he is dead, murdered by Pauline, a pretty chambermaid.  She is saved by Georges, a young man she falls in love with.  The couple take refuge in a forest inhabited by people wearing the same distinctive round hats...
