Directed by Guillaume Brac

Comedy / Drama

Film Synopsis

His career in a state of terminal decline after the failure of his last album, Maxim, a 35-year-old rock singer, returns to the small town of Tonnerre, to live with his kind-hearted and supportive father.   Mélodie, a 20-year old trainee journalist on a local newspaper, uses this opportunity to interview him.  A sentimentalist, Max is instantly attracted to the good-looking young woman and is keen to see her again.  It is the beginning of a passionate love affair that convinces the middle-aged rocker that things are finally beginning to look up for him.  But suddenly and without warning Mélodie disappears out of his life.  Max tries in vain to find her and is stunned when he receives a text message from her telling him that she has returned to her former partner, Ivan, a violent and possessive football player.  Max's father watches concernedly as his son sinks ever deeper into a depression.  Finally Max snaps.  He threatens Ivan with a gun and runs off with Mélodie, taking her by force to a remote chalet in the mountains.  Here, the two lovers try to reconcile their feelings, but the police arrive too soon and Max is taken into custody...
