A famous football coach is killed and a ring adorned with the famous
Pink Panther diamond is stolen. To resolve the mystery, the
French government need to avail themselves of a crime-fighting genius
of considerable tact and resource, but no one of that kind is available
so they have to make do with Inspector Jacques Clouseau. There
are certainly plenty of suspects: a pop star, a footballer, a Chinese
assassin... With the help of his faithful sidekick Ponton, Clouseau
embarks on his most challenging case yet, but will he prevent his
chief, Dreyfus, from stealing all the credit if he succeeds...?
