Film Synopsis

One night, Maurice, the son of a severe magistrate, attacks a petrol station attendant to rob him, with the help of an accomplice.  Injured in the attack, Maurice confesses his crime to his father who, devastated by this revelation, resigns from his post and places his son's defence in the care of an old friend, Valentin.
