Taxi Boy (1986)
Directed by Alain Page

Comedy

Film Synopsis

Manuel, a taxi driver, comes across a beaten up man in the street and takes him back home.  The man is Petrus Machin, a drifter who has just had an unpleasant encounter with a gang who want him to settle his gambling debts.   Far from being grateful, Petrus pours scorn on his benefactor, mocking his humdrum way of life and his inability to imagine anything better for himself.  Petrus gives the impression that he is a man of the world, whereas in fact he is just as pathetic as Manuel, dividing his time between the poker table and the fast food restaurant where he takes an interest in a young waitress, Corinne...
