Solidarnosc (1981)
Directed by Serge Poljinsky

Documentary

Film Synopsis

A documentary on the Polish trade union movement, made within a year of Solidarity's birth in August 1980.  The film shows how difficult it was for the movement to gain acceptance by those in power without shattering the hopes of those that it sought to serve, ordinary working class men and their families, in a time of economic meltdown.
