Film Synopsis

In Cannes, Eric Vance is a sailor who organises boat trips for rich people.  He bears a striking resemblance to the famous singer Pierre Dudan and is harassed by three young women: Lise, Dudan's former mistress, Joëlle, an adventurer, and Anntoinette, a shopkeeper's daughter.  Against his will, Eric begins to pass himself off as Dudan and appears on stage as the singer at a gala event.  The real Dudan arrives in the nick of time to save his reputation, but takes a pot shot from the overly possessive Lise.  Deserted by his admirers, Eric slips away in the accompany of Antoinette...
