Film Synopsis

Suzy is a 30-something whose messy love affair with a married man is not helped by constant well-meaning interference from her mother, Madeleine.  Relations between the two women deteriorate even further when Suzy loses both her job and her lover.  Madeleine has her own worries, as she has to care for her handicapped husband, she so can do without her daughter's ingratitude.  Things finally come to a head and Madeleine decides to leave Suzy to sort out her own problems whilst she gets on with her own life.  Unable to make sense of the sudden change in her mother's behaviour, Suzy makes repeated attempts to get in touch with her, but in vain.  Has she lost a valuable ally or she is finally free to live her own life...?
