Film Synopsis
Madame Desvarennes has two daughters, Micheline and Jeanne, one of whom (Jeanne) has been adopted. Jeanne falls in love with Prince Serge Panine, an unscrupulous adventurer, but he marries Micheline for her fortune. Once she has had her eyes opened to her son-in-law's true nature, Madame Desvarennes kills him to save her two daughters from ruin.© James Travers
