Film Synopsis

Ulysse, an apprentice filmmaker, is over the moon when he learns that his first film has been entered in the Love Film Festival, which is due to take place shortly on the island of Reunion.  Overwhelmed with excitement and believing this to be the start of a glittering filmmaking career, Ulysse invites his attractive young neighbour Clotilde, who has ambitions of becoming a screen actress, to accompany him to the festival.  On the day before Ulysse's departure comes the terrible news that his film has been withdrawn from the competition.  Unable to break the disappointing news to Clotilde, he keeps it to himself and they fly off for Reunion as planned.  Now all that Ulysse has to do is to find a way to convince the festival's organisers to re-enter his film in the competition, thereby winning himself not only some measure of professional kudos but also the admiration of the girl he has fallen for.  Unfortunately, he hasn't reckoned with the fierce rivalry and internal bickering that takes place behind the scenes at festivals such as these.  Ulysse has much to learn...
