Romarin (1937)
Directed by André Hugon

Drama

Film Synopsis

Romarin and his friend Tonin are two provincial poachers who are afraid of nothing.  There is no one to match them when it comes to laying a snare, killing a partridge or catching a rare fish.  Whilst Romain, an active fifty-something, amuses himself on his barge, the younger Tonin keeps himself busy with his amorous adventures.  Tonin's latest interest is Nine, the daughter of the grocer Larquus.  On a trip to Toulon, Tonin encounters an alluring Russian princess, Olga.  The latter is in league with a gang of smugglers, who play on Tonin's naivety by getting him to hide a consignment of heroine from the police...
